Production Lead / Job Site Supervisor – Residential Painting & Refinishing
Pay: $23–$28/hour, depending on experience, plus quarterly performance bonus
Schedule: Up to full-time, Monday–Friday
Location: Projects throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale and surrounding areas
About the Role
We are a growing residential painting and refinishing company looking for a Production Lead / Job Site Supervisor to oversee our crews and help ensure every project delivers an exceptional client experience.
This is not a Lead Painter position, and extensive painting experience is not required.
We already have an experienced Lead Painter who is our technical expert in prep, coatings and application. We're looking for a different skill set: a natural leader who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of a job site.
Your focus will be making sure the crew is productive, the job site is clean and organized, quality standards are met, and the homeowner knows their project is in good hands. Full training on our processes will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day activity on residential job sites
- Keep crew members organized, productive and on task
- Perform quality-control checks throughout each project
- Identify items needing correction before the client does
- Ensure homes and surrounding surfaces are properly protected
- Maintain clean, safe and organized job sites
- Communicate professionally and proactively with homeowners
- Provide clients with project updates and answer general questions
- Communicate progress, concerns and staffing needs to ownership
- Establish daily priorities and keep projects on schedule
- Take project photos and maintain job-site documentation
- Ensure equipment, materials and supplies are properly cared for
- Assist with hands-on production when needed
- Conduct final quality walkthroughs before project completion
- Help create a positive, accountable and respectful crew culture
What We're Looking For
Leadership experience matters more to us than painting experience.
The right person:
- Notices when something isn't right and takes action to fix it
- Is comfortable giving direction and holding people accountable
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Takes pride in a clean, organized work environment
- Communicates confidently and professionally with homeowners
- Can manage multiple priorities and solve problems
- Is dependable, punctual and takes ownership of their work
- Is comfortable working around residential construction
- Can use a phone for photos, texts, updates and checklists
- Has reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Can pass a background check
Experience supervising people in construction, remodeling, home services, restoration, painting, landscaping, hospitality or another service environment is a plus, but not required.
Painting experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right leader.
